RSVP(Répondez s'il vous plaît)

RSVP means to respond and confirm if you plan to accept the invitation or not.

 


 

Inviting

  • Would you like to (+infinitive)?
  • Would you be interested in (-ing)?
  • Are you free on (date)?
  • Do you feel like (-ing)?

 

Accepting

  • That would be nice.
  • That sounds great.
  • Sure, that would be great.
  • I’d love to.
  • Sounds good.

 

Declining

  • I really don’t think I can.
  • I wish I could, but (excuse)
  • I don’t know.
  • Maybe next time.
  • I’m not sure.
  • I’m really sorry. I can’t.
  • Thank you, but I’m afraid I can’t.

(Invite) Would you like to come a house warming party?

Ed: (Decline) I’m realy sorry. I can’t. Because I have works a lot.
